The Vogelaar family has worked in the Haarlemmermeerpolder since 1896
Homefriends is part of Hudivo. This family company’s origins date back to 1896,
when pioneer Anton Vogelaar started a farm in the Haarlemmermeerpolder. The clay soil in this polder, which is six metres below sea level, formed a fertile basis for the farm.
After operating in the agricultural sector for 80 years, the farm redirected its activities in 1976.
Craftsmanship from father to son
The Vogelaar family started operating as pet food wholesaler under the name Hudivo in 1976, after the family’s third son graduated from Nyenrode. With the second generation now at the helm, Hudivo has expanded to become a modern company specialising in the production and sale of innovative hay and straw products. ISO-22000 certification offers assurance of consistent and controlled production in accordance with the highest quality standards.
